About Us

The Carolina Baptist Association exists to encourage and equip churches to work together for the fulfillment of the Great Commission in Horry Co.

Member Churches

The Carolina Baptist Association has as its member churches which agree to cooperate in carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ as stated in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo, I am with always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

Our member churches are united in "like, precious faith," as expressed in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. Membership in the association doesn't alter the autonomy of each church or its own direction of seeking knowledge through the Scriptures located in the Holy Bible.

Our churches are also in voluntary cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention and South Carolina Baptist Convention.

The work of the Carolina Baptist Association consists of Evangelism, Discipleship, and Missions.

Evangelism – Every church and Christian has the responsibility of sharing the gospel that the lost in their community would be reconciled to God through recognition of sin and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.

Discipleship – The Association is always ready to assist churches in the areaf discipleship. It provides leadership and assistance in Sunday School, Church Training, Women’s Missionary Union, Brotherhood, Music, Evangelism, Conflict Resolution, and Stewardship.

Missions – The Member churches of the Carolina Baptist Association are also members of the Cooperative Program of the Southern Baptist Convention and South Carolina Baptist Convention and work cooperatively to establish new work and missions in South Carolina, the USA, and worldwide. The CBA also assists local groups to establish new missions in Horry County, SC.
